This book is a compilation of papers that were presented during the panel sessions of the Fifth Civil Service Conference 2000. The theme of the conference which is also the title of the book is indicative of how important good governance can be as a basis to guide and influence the convergence of globalisation in the new millennium. The publication has spurred a discussion on the principal challenges od globalisation, establish an understanding of good governance practices and develop an appreciation of the importance of intregrity in the public service in promoting good governance.
